Jasmine Tasaki is the founder of WeCareTn, an organization created to holistically support trans people. She was born in Memphis 35 years ago and began transitioning at 13 years old. She has survived many barriers and celebrated many small victories to become the advocate and community organizer she is today. Her love for the community and her persistence have afforded her the opportunity to also be the health literacy and advocacy chair for the Memphis Urban league of young professionals. “There is power in community, and it is my goal for us to use our power to elevate our community and to help us thrive .”
